Tech Industry Luncheon - 2017 - Feb. ...
Description
"Validating trust through the use of technology"
Featuring Maya Leibman, Executive Vice President and CIO, American Airlines
2016 Tech Titans Award Winner - Corporate CIO
The volume of technology in the world today and its rapid rate of adoption have dramatically changed the way companies both large and small are operating. At American Airlines the integration of such rapid technological change is not only viewed as keeping the company in the digital age, it has created new opportunities for the company to validate the trust employees, customers, and shareholders have in the airlines in this new era of operation.
About the speaker:
Maya Leibman is executive vice president and chief information officer. She is responsible for all information technology systems, including systems development, infrastructure, operations and strategy. Prior to her role as CIO, Leibman was president of the AAdvantage loyalty program, where she oversaw all aspects of the AAdvantage program and led the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and customer research initiatives for the airline worldwide. Leibman joined the airline in 1994 in the Revenue Management department and led a variety of pricing and yield management teams focused on optimizing airline revenue.
She serves on the Dallas Theater Center board of trustees and volunteers for a number of local organizations, including the So SMAART program, where she works with minority girls ages 9 to 12, teaching them about technology and life. Leibman is an executive sponsor for Living Green — American’s Employee Business Resource Group that promotes living green at work and in the community in order to reduce our carbon footprint and explore new ways to “reduce, reuse and recycle.”
