Nominations underway for Tech Titans Awards

Tech Titans is looking for the best of the best in technological excellence and achievement in North Texas to be nominated for one of the 2024 Annual Tech Titans Awards. The awards will be announced in a grand celebration on September 20 celebrating the theme “Legacy of Leadership: Illuminating 30 years of Tech Triumphs” in honor of Tech Titans 30^th anniversary. The gala will be held at the Renaissance Addison Hotel and presented by the University of Texas at Dallas.
 
“The Tech Titans gala is a renowned event that celebrates the achievements of outstanding technologists and technology companies across the DFW region, which range from start-ups to industry giants, across 14 distinct categories, with additional awards for exceptional educators,” said Mani Jonnalagadda, Awards Gala Nominations Chair and a representative of the DFW Alliance for Technology for Women.

Nominations may be submitted in 14 award categories: Corporate CEO, Emerging Company CEO, Start-up CEO, Corporate CIO/CTO, Emerging CIO/CTO,  Corporate Innovation, Emerging Innovation, Tech Adopter, Tech Inventor, Community Hero, Tech Titans of the Future – High School, Tech Titans of the Future – University, Fast Tech and Hall of Fame.
 
Whether it is a company or an individual, nominees must have an office in the 16-county North Central Texas Council of Governments region to qualify for an award. There is no charge to submit a nomination. Companies and individuals may nominate themselves, their employees and customers for the awards. All nominations are made online and the nomination portal permits nominees to save their work and return to complete the form at a later time.
 
Once nominations close on June 11, a 15 person judging panel comprised of technology leaders in the region will review the nominations and rank them. The top six semi-finalists in each category will be interviewed before the judges make their selection of four finalists and a winner in each category.
 
The finalists will be announced in mid-July and the awards are announced at the gala. Special nominating committees select the Corporate CEO and Hall of Fame recipients. The recipients for these two awards are announced in August prior to the gala..
 
In addition to UT Dallas as the presenting sponsor, the Hall of Fame presentation will be sponsored by GBSF and the Corporate CEO award presented by Dallas College.
 
Tech Titans has been holding the annual Awards Gala since 2001. Over 430 people attended the 2023 awards gala, which was the first time the gala returned to a formal dinner since the pandemic.
