Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers and project leads to refine requirements.
  • Develop hardware for a wide range of applications.
  • Design detailed analog, RF, power, and digital circuits.
  • Perform digital logic design and verification for FPGA/CPLD implementation.
  • Assist in system architecture design.
  • Test, integrate, and debug new hardware in real-world environments.
  • Work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, including software, mechanical, and test engineers.
  • Produce design release packages, including manufacturing documentation and test procedures.
  • Engage with customers to discuss project status and resolve issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: BS in Electrical Engineering or related field (MS preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of hardware development experience.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Printed circuit board (PCB) design.
    • Hardware/software system integration.
    • Strong understanding of networking protocols and techniques.
    • Familiarity with software and scripting languages.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Design Tools:
  • Schematic Capture: OrCAD, PADS PowerLogic
  • PCB Layout & Simulation: Familiarity with PCB layout tools and Gerber viewers, Spice, EEsof (or equivalent RF simulation), HyperLynx signal integrity analysis
  • Signal Processing & System Simulation: Matlab
  • Digital Logic Design Tools:
    • Xilinx ISE and EDK
    • Altera Quartus and SOPC Builder
    • ModelSim simulation
    • Synplicity synthesis
Laboratory Equipment:
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Logic analyzers
  • Spectrum analyzers
  • Signal generators
  • SMT assembly/rework
Product Certifications:
  • Electromagnetic Emissions: FCC, CE
  • Safety: UL, CSA, TUV
  • Environmental Compliance
