Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers and project leads to refine requirements.
- Develop hardware for a wide range of applications.
- Design detailed analog, RF, power, and digital circuits.
- Perform digital logic design and verification for FPGA/CPLD implementation.
- Assist in system architecture design.
- Test, integrate, and debug new hardware in real-world environments.
- Work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, including software, mechanical, and test engineers.
- Produce design release packages, including manufacturing documentation and test procedures.
- Engage with customers to discuss project status and resolve issues.
- Education: BS in Electrical Engineering or related field (MS preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of hardware development experience.
- Technical Expertise:
- Printed circuit board (PCB) design.
- Hardware/software system integration.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and techniques.
- Familiarity with software and scripting languages.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Schematic Capture: OrCAD, PADS PowerLogic
- PCB Layout & Simulation: Familiarity with PCB layout tools and Gerber viewers, Spice, EEsof (or equivalent RF simulation), HyperLynx signal integrity analysis
- Signal Processing & System Simulation: Matlab
- Digital Logic Design Tools:
- Xilinx ISE and EDK
- Altera Quartus and SOPC Builder
- ModelSim simulation
- Synplicity synthesis
- Oscilloscopes
- Logic analyzers
- Spectrum analyzers
