The role of the heads of digital, technology and information continues to rapidly evolve as companies embark on new digital transformation initiatives - moving from traditional back-office IT to being right in the thick of the customer experience equation. More than ever, the CDO/CIO/CTO function has grown to be a strategic partner with internal business partners, leveraging new technologies across sales, marketing, operations and manufacturing to define new business models, drive transformative change while helping to accelerate revenue growth. Join Ellen and Manoj in a fireside chat, where they will share their stories and insights on how Texas Instruments and Kimberly-Clark have evolved on their digital journies.
About the speakers:
Ellen Barker is senior vice president and chief information officer of Texas Instruments responsible for the Information Technology Services organization. Prior to this role, Ellen served as vice president and controller of TI's Silicon Valley Analog business. Throughout her career, she has also held several other leadership positions within the company's Analog, Embedded Processing, manufacturing and former defense divisions, including vice president of High Performance Analog finance and operations. She held leadership roles on the integration teams for TI's acquisitions of National Semiconductor, Burr Brown and Chipcon, contributing to TI's growing Analog presence and has also contributed her operations, financial and management expertise to diverse operations and functions across TI.
Ellen joined TI in 1984. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Univeristy of Texas, Austin and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas. In addition to her role at TI, she is on the board of directors for High-Tech High Heels, a non-profit organization focused on increasing the number of girls entering a college degree program in science, technology, engineering and math, and Tech Titans, the largest technology trade association in Texas.
Manoj Kumbhat is CTO and VP of Engineering and Applications and is responsible for delivering Kimberly-Clark's digital transformation. His immediate priority is driving the digital marketing strategy, supply chain and global business services transformation agenda. He is a seasoned IT executive with 23 years of IT experience. Before K-C, he was the global CIO of HCL responsible for delivering business process transformation, enterprise solutions, technology architecture and infrastructure and global information security. As PepsiCo India CIO, he delivered the IT vision and strategic agenda for both beverage and food businesses to support and enable rapid business growth. He executed on a multi-year IT transformation agenda in the areas of go-to-market, supply chain, manufacturing, finance and managed infrastructure devices.
Prior to PepsiCo, Manoj worked in several consulting roles driving business process and IT transformation. He has extensive experience in implementing SAP solutions in the areas of order to cash, manufacturing, financials and supply chain and worked at several CPG, pharma and manufacturing companies in managing global and complex SAP implementations. He was founder and CEO of BizSoft Consulting, Inc. and built a successful boutique SAP consulting firm. He spent 12 years in various technology consulting roles implementing SAP at large multinationals. He holds a master's degree in Computer Engineering and an MBA. He is American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certified.
