PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
You must print and place parking pass on the dash board of your car. Parking pass allows you access to the GREEN spaces in the PS3 parking garage on the top floors or additional parking in Lot T. The Blackstone LaunchPad is located on the west side of the PS3 parking garage next to iHop. Please plan to be on-time as the lots fill up quickly with students, visitors and faculty.

Journey toward a smarter city
Featuring Alexander van Overveld, Head of Sales Public Sector, Nokia
The goal of becoming a Smart City is a journey that requires a fundamental and transformational approach. This presentation will cover a platform strategy approach and a review of multiple Smart City applications for an end-to-end, seamless integration of information and communications technology toward a city infrastructure. The presentation will drive discussion about developing a Smart City vision and specific short and long-term needs for the city and its citizens.
About the speaker:
Alexander is a senior leader at Nokia responsible for Services and Solutions for the Public Sector market globally. He has 19+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry with multiple global positions in sales, services and operations.
He has a strong track record for driving for excellence with his teams and bringing new innovative solutions into the market and operations.
Alexander is passionate about the technical evolution in telecommunications and possibilities this offers to enhance operations, coordination and communication in public sector. In his current role he heads the Public Sector sales practice in Nokia's Enterprise Services Unit, with key focus on Public Safety, Defense, Smart and safe Cities and Digital Inclusion networks and solutions across the globe.
Alexander earned a Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering in the Netherlands, has lived in multiple countries in Europe and Asia and currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
Registration Policy: Payment is necessary at the time of reservations. Due to catering requirements we must charge for reservations not canceled three days prior to the event. Walk-in customers will be seated based on space availability.
