The new pact adds significant updates to the 25-year-old NAFTA contract, and supports robust economic growth in North America. Hal Harvey is a senior executive with finance, accounting, operations background in a diversity of industries in small and mid-sized businesses. Hal Received his BA and MBA in Finance from The University of Utah. The past 15+ years have been in private equity backed companies fulfilling various roles and assignments.VP, Director, Controller, and Consultant in various industries, including; ERP consulting services, skid steer equipment manufacturing, personal care products manufacturing, wood window and door manufacturing, and automotive. Hal was a partner/member of Engineer data products LLC for thirteen years. He is now the current CFO/COO of Valterra Products LLC since 2015.
Patrick Kirwan is the Director of the Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee Secretariat. In this capacity, he coordinates a network of 20 government agencies chaired by the Secretary of Commerce to develop and implement the National Export Strategy (a national government-wide strategy to improve federal trade promotion and finance programs to increase U.S. exports). He has focused specifically on improving the competitiveness of agency trade promotion programs, developing commercial strategies for key markets such as China and India, and improving federal/state cooperation on export promotion. Mr. Kirwan is focusing on interagency efforts related to Doing Business in Africa, infrastructure, improving customer service, and supplying actionable information to U.S. companies.
Olga Torres handles notable international trade matters for numerous companies worldwide and specializes in the areas of US customs, exports, economic sanctions, anti-corruption compliance and national security matters. Olga received her Bachelors at the University of Texas at Austin and her law degree at Southern Methodist University. She also assists with anti dumping/countervailing duty matters before the import administration of the US department of commerce. As a recognized leader in trade and national security law, Ms Torres was recently reappointed by the US assistant secretary of state to the Defense Trade Advisory Group. In this capacity, she advises the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs on its regulation of defense trade in accordance with the Arms Export Control Act and its implementing regulations under the ITAR.
Alex Tercero-Chacon is a Mexico Desk Officer in the Office of North America at the U.S. Department of Commerce. His responsibilities include various programs, policies, and strategies designed to strengthen U.S. commercial relations with Mexico. He also works on U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) outreach efforts related to educating the business community on the benefits of the agreement. Prior to joining the Department of Commerce, Mr. Tercero-Chacon worked in international development and served as a consultant on a value-chain project for the World Bank. He has lived in Guatemala as a Fulbright Fellow and served as a White House intern in the Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs.
Alex is also a proud graduate of Boston College and Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service where he served as a teaching assistant for Secretary Madeleine K. Albright.
Javier A. Mazon is Senior Managing Executive who has worked for domestic and international hi-technology corporations and is the Tri-Chair for the ICC. Javier graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in administration. His range of experience includes general management, consulting, business development, sales/marketing leadership, international board of directors, external affairs, and operations in the U.S. and Latin America. He has held executive assignments with Texas Instruments as the CEO and being the VP of Oki Data Americas. He is currently the Founder/President/Managing Director of Group Lamerica, L.L.C., Dallas, Texas. His credentials include: being a director, strategic services, founder, and senior vice president of Troncoso International.
Dina Santos joined the Consulate General of Canada in Dallas, Texas in August 2017 to lead its commercial trade section efforts in the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The mandate of the trade section is to help Canadian companies with their business development needs and expansion projects in territory as well as help local companies expand their footprint in Canada.. Dina earned a Bachelor of Law Degree at Université de Montréal and completed a Master’s Degree in Taxation at the École des Hautes Études Commerciales.Dina speaks fluent English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
