Topic: Adding IoT capabilities to your product, how hard can it be..?
Speaker: Jim Kokal, President/CEO, Wavetrix
Adding Internet of Things capabilities to your product involves a multitude of technologies and decisions. Navigating through this process requires effort and a good game plan. In this session, we will focus on the remote device and what is required to add IoT capability to it. We will discuss how the device fits within an IoT system, the options and their tradeoffs for connecting to the Internet, the implications to the existing product (and processor), and the implications of being an IoT device ? most notably the impact on installation, configuration, security and maintenance. By working through these issues systemically you can add IoT capabilities to your product quickly and begin realizing its benefits.
