There's often a wide gap between the technical and security operational metrics typically reported by Chief Information Security Officers and the business information needed by boards of directors to set organizational strategy. This program will address the cybersecurity topics that need to be addressed to enable boards to have meaningful conversations, gain confidence, and develop an aligned vision for data security.
Cynthia Pharr-Lee is an experienced board member and entrepreneur. She is a co-founder of Texas Women Ventures and has helped raise three funds to invest in women-led businesses in the Southwest. One of the TWV's current, major investments is in cybersecurity firm, Vericlave. During Cynthia's business career, she led the growth of three public relations/marketing firms in Dallas and served clients ranging from Fortune 100 to entrepreneurs. She received the Tech Titan 2015 Investment Catalyst Award for her role with Texas Women Ventures and was named 2017 Outstanding Dallas Board Member by Dallas Business Journal and NACD.
Mark King has 30+ years senior management experience in design, development, manufacturing, and business development serving the advanced electronics industry, including 22 years with Texas Instruments, Inc. and later Raytheon through acquisition. Prior to his current position, he was President and COO of Lucas-Benning Power Electronics, Inc. Mark holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a Master's degree in Business Administration.
Chad Pinson is a member of Aon Cyber Services' executive leadership team with 21+ years' experience leading the delivery of professional services to clients. In addition to leading a team of 60 service professionals, Chad provides strategic and technical guidance and services to clients dealing with proactive and reactive cyber security issues, as well as internal investigations and C-Suite/Board advisory services. Prior to joining the Stroz Friedberg (now Aon Cyber Solutions) consultancy in 2012, Mr. Pinson was an equity partner at an AmLaw50 international law firm, appearing in the 2012 Best Lawyers in America list. From 2004-2011, he was continuously recognized by Law & Politics as a "Texas Rising Star."
Wayne Reynolds has 30 years of experience in cyber security. He has run programs across a wide range of industries to include organizations such as Conde Nast publications (Publishing/Media), Copart Auto Auctions (eCommerce), Aerojet/Rocketdyn (Missile Defense/DoD Contracting), Citigroup (Financial Institution) and GameStop (Retail). In his most recent role as a Chief Security Officer, Wayne was responsible for the security strategy and operations at Armor Defense, a leader in hybrid cloud security. He ensured the execution of security and compliance services to more than 1200 customers in 4 countries, the majority of which were governed by PCI and HIPAA regulations. Prior to and overlapping with his civilian career, Wayne served for 20 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Cyber Chief, where he led Marines across multiple disciplines and through multiple combat deployments.
Chris Denton has been involved in all aspects of security for the last 20 years, with subject matter expertise in the areas of application security, network security, forensics, incident response, and threat modelling. He loves to educate the industry about security issues and how to protect against them. He leads the team to secure the products and e-file system for Intuit"s tax professionals. Chris also contributes to the IRS Security Summit to better safeguard taxpayer data across the industry. He lives outside of Dallas, Texas with his wife and 2 cats, where he enjoys cycling, Denver Bronco football and obstacle course racing.
