The amount of data managed by corporations will certainly grow for years to come as new data-producing technologies emerge, and the best companies will learn how to leverage the data, people and processes around big data to gain a competitive advantage. Texas Instruments is on this same big-data journey. Vishal Mehra, IT Chief Architect at Texas Instruments, will present the overall big data challenge for TI, share benefits and challenges that companies can expect along the path, and illustrate the opportunities for TI using a real-world example from TI manufacturing.
About the speaker:
Vishal Mehra joined TI in 1999 and over the years, he has held several leadership roles in TI Dallas and India. Over the past few years, he has been focused on IT Operations Strategy, In-Source Business Continuity Planning efforts and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) programs along with strategic customer facing initiatives. Vishal was elected to the TI Technical Ladder as Distinguished Member of Technical Staff last year.
