Tech Titans STEM Initiative Honored with 2025 TECNA Innovation Award
DALLAS (Oct. 15, 2025) – The Tech Titans STEM Initiative is the recipient of the 2025 TECNA Innovation Award for Talent Pipeline and Workforce: STEM and Students. This prestigious award was recently presented by the Technology Councils of North America (TECNA).
The award recognizes one or more TECNA members who have developed innovative workforce or talent pipeline initiatives for K-12 STEM, higher education STEM, CTE or internships.
“This is such an exciting moment for Tech Titans. I’m incredibly proud of the work that went into this, but the recognition truly belongs to our amazing STEM Team. Their passion, collaboration, and dedication made this possible. I feel fortunate to support and work alongside such a committed group,” said Tech Titans STEM Director Reme Miah.
The Tech Titans STEM Initiative connects students in six partnering school districts with the exciting world of technology and sparking future innovation in North Texas, engaging approximately 6,000 students annually. During the last school year, the program achieved the milestone of engaging 20,000 students since the program started ten years ago.
A team of STEM volunteers, comprised by representatives of Tech Titans members, work with the school districts to plan curriculums that are then taught in the classroom. Key industry partners such as Ericsson, Qorvo, and State Farm have provided vital support in the form of mentorship, resources, and hands-on opportunities.
“What makes our partnerships truly different is how we leverage the unique power of the entire Tech Titans network – connecting industry, academia, and community organizations in a deeply integrated ecosystem,” added Miah.
The program works closely with the University of Texas at Dallas in academic partnerships on programs that teach the students such exciting tasks as how to build robots.
The goal is to cultivate North Texas’ future STEM talent pipeline through impactful industry experiences and mentorship from people in the tech industry. With continued growth and community support, the initiative aims to double its reach over the next five years, expanding into rural districts and launching virtual programs, according to Miah.
TECNA is a federation of over 60 technology councils and trade associations in the U.S. and Canada, representing more than 22,000 technology-related companies and advocating for the growth of the North American technology economy. TECNA combines the expertise and influence of its member councils and associations and the technology companies they serve to achieve outcomes that individual organizations cannot achieve alone. TECNA uses that expertise and influence to promote innovation and help grow the North American economy.
