Tech Titans is ready to release its top 25 Fast Tech companies, all of which are in the running for top honors at the organization's gala in August.
Now in its sixteenth year, the Fast Tech Awards
honor the fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North Texas. After a company is submitted to Tech Titans, selections are made through independent research via publicly available information by Crowe Horwath and Comerica. Vance McCollough, a partner at Crowe Horwath LLP, and Charlie Fell, a vice president at Comerica, spearheaded the project. Growth is measured using data over the two-year period, in this case 2013-2015.
Companies must have revenue between $2 million and $200 million to be eligible and, this year, about one-third of the companies are new to the list.
There a couple very familiar names. ZeOmega, for instance, made the top 25 for the sixth year running.
A few repeat-honorees have been in the news this year, McCollough told me. The partner is now participating in his sixth Fast Tech list.
Chicago-based GTCR acquired Optimal Blue late last month, and StoneEagle Services received a significant ($76 million) investment in February, McCollough said. He also noted that one of the more interesting repeats on the list is Geoforce, which provides oilfield services, since its clients are chiefly in the energy sector.
Below is a list of each company that made this year's top 25 Fast Tech list. The companies are listed in alphabetical order – you'll have to wait to see the ranked list until August's event.
ExanSoft Worldwide, Inc.
G Systems, L.P.
Simplifi Holdings, Inc.
StoneEagle Services, Inc.
The black-tie awards event will be held on the evening of August 19 at the InterContinental Hotel - Dallas. Visit the Awards Gala homepage
