Tech Titans Board of Directors Elects Marvin Harris of Qorvo as Chair and Welcomes New Board Members

The Tech Titans Board of Directors has elected Marvin Harris Jr., an engineering senior manager at Qorvo, as chair at the January board of directors meeting. Harris succeeds Amy Wheelus, CTIO of Gigapower to lead the organization. 

“Marvin Harris is the ideal person to chair the Tech Titans board,” said Paul Bendel, executive director of Tech Titans. “He has more than 25 years of professional experience and has provided tremendous guidance as vice chair of our STEM program. We’re also grateful to our new and returning board members who are committed to providing guidance to Tech Titans as we work to grow and bring value to our members.”

During Harris’ career, he was a foundry engineer for TriQuint Semiconductor for 17 years until the company merged with RF MicroDevice (RFMD) to form Qorvo, where he has served for nearly nine years. He served as vice chair of the Tech Titans STEM program largely because, as a young student, it was a STEM program that influenced him to pursue an engineering career. Harris earned earning a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a master’s in engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

The 2025 board of directors, elected by Tech Titans members for the first time, were also welcomed to the board. The new board includes 16 new board members.

Each new Tech Titans board member is elected for a two-year term, joining a board of up to 40 individuals representing all sectors of the North Texas technology industry. The board provides vision, oversight and support the mission of Tech Titans, leadership on a team or committee, participates in the development of annual goals and a strategic plan and provides financial support through membership investment and sponsorship of events and programs produced by Tech Titans.
