Annual Golf Tournament to tee off April 29th

The 19th annual Tech Titans Golf Tournament will welcome over 100 golfers, sponsors and volunteers to the Clubs of Prestonwood – The Hills in Plano on April 29th. Tee time is 11:30 and play will be followed by the annual awards dinner.

The tournament benefits Tech Titans programs like the STEM Initiative, which encourages middle and high school students to enroll in STEM classes and consider STEM careers. Since the program’s inception some ten years ago, the Tech Titans STEM Team has inspired over 20,000 students. The program currently works with six school districts: Irving, Farmersville, Lewisville, Irving, Plano, Richardson and Wylie.

The tournament also encourages collaboration among technology companies, builds business networks and brings the tech community together for an enjoyable event outside the office.

Pillar Sponsors for this year’s tournament are Baker Tilly US, The Principal, and Vaco.

A host of other sponsors joins them: Putting Contest – Motion Recruitment, Scorecard – GigaPower, Golf Cart – Frost Bank, Hole Sponsors – Robert Half, Odyssey Information Services, Carstens Allen & Gourley, and RESPEC.

From lunch or dinner sponsorship to sponsoring a hole, there is a sponsor package that can fit most any budget. Hole sponsorships are $1,500 and permit your team to meet and visit with every golfer who plays in the tournament. Becoming a sponsor of the tournament can help a company meet potential new customers, engage in a great networking opportunity and promote the company’s products/services. Details can be found on the sponsor packages on the tournament webpage

There are plenty of player spots for the tournament, but teams are encouraged to enter early as the tournament traditionally sells out. Teams may register for the tournament online, contact Tech Titans at 972-792-2850 or turn in your registration via email at admin@techtitans.org

Player check-in begins at 10 with a shotgun start at 11:30. Following play at 4:30, golfers and sponsors will enjoy a post-tournament dinner where golf awards and door prizes will be handed out. Some of the door prizes include dinners at exclusive restaurants, foursomes at some of the area’s well-known golf courses, and gift cards to area sporting goods stores.
