Member spotlight: PGA of America

PGA of America is 105 years old, yet its approach to technology and digital products is progressive. The company operates 100% in the cloud (AWS and Google), zero trust, Yubikeys, no corporate network, no data centers, no VPNs, and no Active Directory across its 50 office locations. Even its use of Workday is unconventional. Tech at major golf tournaments only lasts a few weeks before moving on to the next event, but includes scoring, data feeds for TV / digital, public wifi, miles of fiber, private LTE, digital ticketing, spectator apps, IPTV, scoreboards, hospitality CRM, and more. Consumer digital products on and mobile are cloud native, leveraging the latest open source technologies and infrastructure as code.

PGA welcomes software engineers, designers, and product managers who want to build impactful products at scale with a beloved brand and passionate customers. It's an elite team that's always on the lookout for fun people who love to play.
PGA of America is a not-for-profit member trade association consisting of 28,000 men and women with careers in the golf industry. The association exists to promote and support its members as well as to drive participation in the game of golf. Since 1916, it has educated and certified generations of PGA Professionals throughout their careers as coaches, facility operators, and executive managers.

Each year, PGA of America also operates major championships that celebrate women, men, juniors, and diversity in the sport including the PGA Championship and Ryder Cup. PGA REACH is PGA's charitable foundation with a mission to positively impact the lives of youth, military, and diverse populations by enabling access to PGA Professionals, PGA Sections and the game of golf.
