Innovation Showcase changes to an expo format

For the past ten years or so, the Tech Titans Innovation Team has held an annual pitch-day event where qualified companies could pitch to investors, investors could pitch to companies, or in some years, large companies pitched to small ones.

On October 10 at the Doubletree Hotel in Richardson, the Innovation Showcase will change its format to become the first-ever annual Innovation Expo.

With around 30 start-up companies showing up to present and pitch their ideas in an exhibit style format with a table, their pitch, and not much else, they have about 7 mins to catch the eyes and ears of 30-40 top line investors that will attend.

“The goal of Tech Titans remains the same with the new expo format, which is to help fast-growing emerging technology companies go to the next level of growth,” said Paul Bendel, Tech Titans Executive Director. “This new expo format will allow companies to visit and potentially make more connections with qualified investors than a traditional pitch day event.”

The expo will begin at 1 p.m. with a keynote address by a well-known and successful entrepreneur. An announcement on the keynote speaker is forthcoming soon.

Following the expo portion of the event, a panel discussion of top-level executives will wrap up before a networking happy hour closes the event at 6 p.m.

Presenting technology companies will be selected from a variety of startup companies around the North Texas area with a net annual income of no more than $2 million. The companies selected to pitch their businesses will not be seed or early-stage start-ups, rather they must have customers, traction, and rapidly growing revenue and ready for expansion capital (series A, B or C rounds of financing).

Qualifications for presenting companies include:
Have a customer base.
Must be located in DFW.
Must meet the threshold of $2 million or less in net revenue annually.
Must be beyond seed and early-stage funding.
Your company is approaching A, B or C rounds of funding.
Your company is a later stage company seeking exposure to corporate customers?

If your company meets this criterion and is interested in being considered to participate, please complete the registration form located on the expo webpage of the Tech Titans website no later than Tuesday, October 1 at 5 pm CT.  There will be a $10 Booth Fee. Investors are also asked to register using a form on the expo webpage. The expo will also be open to spectators.
