Half-day seminar to explore how AI and Cybersecurity work together
A blockbuster symposium that will explore how artificial intelligence and cybersecurity intersect will take place on November 6 at Frances Moody Hall on the campus of SMU. Co-hosted by the Tech Titans Artificial Intelligence Forum, the Tech Titans Cybersecurity Forum and SMU, this half-day workshop will enable people to better understand and bridge the gap between AI and cybersecurity.
Visit the Tech Titans website for more information and to register for the workshop.
The workshop will combine technical deep dive discussions with joint problem solving discussions to give participants the tools needed to be prepared for the future as these technologies evolve. By the end of the day, participants will not only sharpen their technical skills but build a shred vocabulary and vision for how AI and cyber can merge to create stronger, smarter and more resilient systems.
The program, which runs from 1 – 6 pm, will begin with a keynote presentation by Mitch Thornton, Executive Director of the Deason Cybersecurity Institute at SMU. Following Thornton’s opening keynote, the workshop will break into six roundtable sessions where industry representatives from the AI and cybersecurity industries will lead discussions on such topics as “cultivating cyber talent using AI”, “the birth of Agentic AI and ethical agents”, “training the workforce to be resilient against AI-powered phishing”, “AI efforts on hiring”, “the risk of shadow-AI, and “has the AI bubble burst.”
The event will conclude with another keynote from one of the leading AI experts in North Texas, Skip Howard of Computer Vision Power. He will bring the key points brought out in the roundtable discussions together to further show how AI and cybersecurity working together can shape the future.
Cost of admission for members is $31.05 and for non-members it is $41.50. Parking in one of the campus garages will be provided to the first 40 reservations.
Sponsorships for the workshop are also available ranging from the roundtables at $750 to a platinum sponsor of $1,500. Gold sponsorships are available for $1,000. Sponsorship of the closing happy hour networking event are $2,000.
