The Richardson Economic Development Department (REDD) is responsible for improving the economic wellbeing of Richardson through programs and initiatives that lead to job creation, job retention, tax-base enhancements and enhanced quality of life.
The REDD seeks to build a diverse and resilient economy in Richardson in through business attraction, business retention and expansion, real estate redevelopment, workforce development, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem building and placemaking initiatives.
Sustained economic growth provides quality job opportunities for the local labor force, profitable business opportunity for employers, and tax revenue for maintaining the continued growth of our vibrant community.
