AI technology is transforming the retail business for companies, customers and employees. Display technology, contactless shopping and near real-time data disseminate information, and optimize order processing and fulfillment processes.
Computer vision, a subset of artificial intelligence, makes the physical world digitally interactive through device-less mixed reality. It’s being used to transform physical retail displays and 3D objects into extraordinary in-store and remote experiences: experiential, interactive, unbreakable and effective. It’s the future of shopping.
Skip Howard explains how computer vision is making the physical world digitally interactive through device-less mixed reality. No helmet, no phone, no tablets. And with hover technology, no touching! He’ll share insights on getting the user experience right and achieving scalable, repeatable solutions. He’ll share his experience of designing in flexibility as a hedge for future changes and customer behaviors, like consumers’ pandemic-driven preferences for contact-free experiences.

About the speaker:
Skip Howard, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Spacee Inc.
Early on in Spacee’s company history, Skip was instrumental in the development and project management of the Spacee virtual touch technology making it one of the leading technology companies in the spatial augmented reality sector.
Spacee’s technology can turn two- or three-dimensional surfaces into a touchscreen using only light. No phones, tablets, glasses, or any other wearables are necessary. After firmly establishing Spacee as an industry leader, Skip led the company’s expansion of its second branch, Deming Robotics. The Deming Robotics system is the next generation smart shelf technology providing a fully automated IOT inventory solution for the supply chain management business sector.
Skip is listed as an inventor and co-inventor on several patents belonging to Spacee. Skip also founded and currently runs the second-largest Computer Vision Developers group in the United States. Before Spacee, Skip built the media department for a Ross Perot Jr.’s Company. Spacee is Skip’s third startup. He was a founder of a successful student safety software company and co-founder of a hereditary cancer risk assessment software company.
