The innovative spectrum of CBRS
Featuring Michael Wolfe, VP of Mobility Network Engineering, CommScope
Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) will enable new services and operation models within the wireless industry. It is based on an innovative spectrum sharing framework that protects incumbent users while maximizing the availability of the spectrum across multiple access tiers. Topics that will be discussed during this discussion will include CBRS – Timeline and Background, Spectrum Availability and Incumbents, Overview of the Spectrum Access System and ESC, Coexistence, Issues/Framework, and CBRS Use Cases.
About the speaker:
Mike Wolfe is the Vice President of Mobility Network Engineering at CommScope, managing a global team of RF path architects who work with CommScope’s Mobile Network Operator customers to optimize their network deployment strategies. Mike has served in a variety of roles at CommScope and its acquired company Andrew Corporation for 27 years, and he spent an additional 13 years working in the defense sector on a variety of communication system programs. Mike holds a BS EE from Texas A&M University and an MS EE from SMU.
