Blockchain Technologies is one of the most exciting protocols in IoT and identity space. Internet of Things devices and applications have unique identity requirements that this new technology can protect and manage. 

This presentation will begin to identify what this new technology is, how it is growing, and what it means to Smart Cities, Businesses and Citizens. Blockchains individually come in many types with different use cases but all have a common identity framework for interoperability which is explored further. Defining differences between data, identification and identity is critical in order for us to develop more accurate and secure data over time.

Being labeled as the next internet, blockchains are a paradigm shift in identity management. Blockchains are growing fast and  the development of managed identity frameworks are critical to building IoT applications that integrate classic legacy systems and new identity protocols with interoperability to thousands of developing blockchains. From smart homes to smart businesses and governments, the interoperability of some future 50 +billion IoT devices is a challenge we all must come together to protect.

Tim?s presentation will begin to describe a broader vision for blockchain identity and name service applications including smart buildings to public, national, and global security. 

Westley will explore a developmental global identity management ecosystem based on 500+ User Centric Blockchains.
