Brown Bag Lunch - April 19
Featuring Dana Shepperd, Principal, Dana Shepperd and Associates
Do your eyes glaze over when you hear the words "project management?" Do you visualize piles of documentation and tedious project plans designed to torment you with reminders of upcoming due dates? Maybe you have no idea what project management means, or think it applies only to construction or IT projects. This workshop is designed to show you how basic project management tools and practices can be applied to help any organization operate more effectively.
Dana Shepperd has spent more than 15 years managing programs and projects for Fortune 500 companies, and has observed the need to apply many of the tools and concepts employed in those organizations to small businesses and non-profits. Her presentation will be focused on how you can apply simplified project management tools to your small business or non-profit to improve effectiveness and follow-through. Ms. Shepperd has an MBA from Georgia State University, a BA in Economics from Florida State University and is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified. She is a Women in Leadership tri-chair at the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and chairs the Women4Women Mentor subcommittee.
