SUMMARY:Tech Industry Luncheon - April 17
DESCRIPTION:Where AI is going from here... and what are the driving forces in industry and technology?\n\nFeaturing Steve Roemerman\, President & CEO\, Lone Star Analysis\n\n\n\nZoom Webinar Presentation presented by \n\n\n\n\n\nThe ideas behind artificial intelligence are about 60 years old\, yet much of its promise lies ahead. AI is driving billions of dollars of business and earnings\, but AI is still maturing. More than $18 billion was invested in more than 1\,300 venture backed firms in 2019. If it's not too late to exploit the promise of AI\, where will it go from here? Three themes can help guide technologies and decision makers: better use of data\, better use cases\, and better AI technology. These three themes can explain where AI will go\, and what will drive it. Steve will frame those themes in order to help leaders who may not be comfortable with technical terms used by AI practitioners.\n\n\n\nSteven Roemerman is the Chair / CEO of Lone Star Analysis. In addition to previous CEO roles\, he has served as an officer or director in more than a dozen corporations in technology\, aerospace\, finance\, non-profits\, and transportation. He is the recipient of many honors\, holds more than a dozen patents\, and\, has published dozens of papers. He is a member of the SPE\, a life member of the NDIA\, and a Life Senior Member of the IEEE.
