She also specializes in screening\, diagnostic\, and therapeutic colonoscopies\, inflammatory bowel disease\, diverticulitis\, anorectal disease\, and other conditions.  Known for her compassion and patient satisfaction\, she is working to fulfill the need for a colon and rectal specialist in Richardson.  \n\n\n\nDr. Gielser completed her surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center\, Knoxville\, followed by completion of her colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.  During her fellowship\, she received a broad spectrum of training including minimally invasive techniques making her an advanced laparoscopic surgeon.
