SUMMARY:Analytics & Insights Lunch N' Learn - Oct 24
DESCRIPTION:"Diagnosis = Terminal: Why IT won't survive this round and our journey to change the future with platforms and data"\n\n\n\nSpeaker: \n\nJames Altendorf\, Director\, Enterprise Performance\, Intelligence\, Content\, and Knowledge Solutions\, Sabre\n\n\n\n\n\nIT is on the precipice of its next evolution. Infrastructure has become virtual. Software has become "as a service." Today's evolution is witnessing a collapse of processes and technologies into an interdependent and single connected entity - the platform. In this "platform"\, where the technologies and processes are constantly changing\, an organization's true long term assets are its data and people. In this session\, you will hear about how important people and data are to winning in the future. We will discuss what treating data like an asset means and what IT's role will be in both "doing" and "driving" business using data in the future. \n\n\n\nAbout the speaker:\n\nJames is one of the leaders in the Business Systems organization at Sabre with accountabilities for Business Data and Insights\, Financial Planning and Reporting Solutions\, Business Software Engineering\, and Business Platform Engineering and Innovation. As a leader\, his mission is to connect individuals and teams with data\; to deliver outcomes that differentiate organizations from their competition.\n\n\n\nPrior to his current role he worked in Finance at Sabre as well as Systems Engineering at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics on the F-16 and F-35 programs. He has a BS of Industrial Engineering and Management from Oklahoma State University and a MBA from Texas Christian University.
