“Avoiding pitfalls of IoT implementations”
Featuring Mahesh Ramu, Vice President, IoT Strategy and Operations, Plasma
Implementing end-to-end IoT solutions presents multi-faceted challenges. Delivering on a typical IoT engagement involves working with multiple entities: the physical world, unsophisticated devices, hardware, wireless technologies, software (off-the-shelf, and custom-developed), and people. It is useful to be aware of some of the common pitfalls of IoT implementations. In this monthly IoT Forum Breakfast Series discussion, find out some of the lessons learned to avoid the “gotchas” of IoT implementations.
About the speaker:
Mahesh Ramu is Vice President of IoT Strategy and Operations at Plasma. He is responsible for leading growth and expansion of Digital technologies and IoT business at Plasma. Much of his time is spent working with clients on developing innovative IoT and emerging Digital technology products and solutions. Mahesh also develops intellectual property for Plasma. His portfolio of work includes multiple verticals such as healthcare, smart cities, telecommunications and transportation.
Mahesh’s prior work experience spans Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting, Delivery & Management of IT solutions. He has an MBA with honors from the University of Texas at Austin, where he received the Dean’s award for Academic Excellence for Scholarly Attainment. He has an undergraduate Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from University of Mysore, India where he received a Distinction.
